A smart laundry rack, or automated laundry system, is a motorised drying rack installed on your ceiling or wall. You raise, lower and adjust it with a remote control or, on smart models, a mobile app, voice control then dry your clothes indoors using built-in fans and heaters.
Every model includes a quiet AC/DC motor, remote control, LED lighting and obstacle detection for safety. The HexaGale and Helios add mobile app control, 2 Ionhalo, 4 Dusthalo function, voice control and an auto-off timer for the fan and heater. Heating and fan speeds, and pole lengths, vary by model, and two poles can be lowered for blankets and bedsheets.
Smartvard focuses on Original Design Manufacturing with careful component selection and strict quality control. Highlights include faster drying, gentler low-temperature care, whisper-quiet motors, adjustable stopping height and odour-neutralising technology, all designed to make laundry easier.
Drying
It is designed to be energy efficient and uses far less power than a tumble dryer. With typical use of two to four times a week, running costs are usually about S$5 to S$15 a month. Air-dry with the fan when you are not in a hurry, and switch on heat drying only when you need clothes dry fast.
No. The LED light is for visibility when hanging and retrieving laundry, and the UV light helps disinfect clothes. Drying is done by the fan and heater. Fan-only mode circulates room-temperature air, while heat drying adds gentle warm air for faster results.
Fan-only mode blows cool, room-temperature air, ideal for airing clothes, preventing odours and boosting ventilation. Heat drying combines the fan with a heater for consistent warm air, like a gentle tumble dryer at lower heat, drying faster while staying fabric-friendly and energy efficient. Both run on a timer and switch off automatically.
Installation
The unit is securely mounted to your concrete or false ceiling, with free delivery and installation. It needs a power supply of at least 6 amps, connected either to a lighting point with a switch or an existing 3-pin socket. Only the rack powers up when switched on.
Yes. Our team will dismantle your existing manual clothes rack and patch up the ceiling holes at no additional charge when we install your new Smartvard system.
No. Smartvard is an indoor automated laundry system, engineered to dry clothes more efficiently indoors than traditional outdoor bamboo-pole methods, rain or shine.
Other
Smartvard is virtually maintenance-free. From time to time you can simply use a vacuum cleaner to keep the ventilation area free of dust.
No. While a laundry rack is a smart, energy-saving choice, Climate Vouchers in Singapore apply only to specific NEA or PUB tick-rated appliances and fittings, such as refrigerators, air-conditioners and washing machines. Laundry racks are not on the eligible list.
